I first owned a Dalmatian in 1968 and first exhibited in 1969 and joined two Dalmatian clubs in UK in 1976. My first judging appointment was in 1980. I lived in Holland for 10 years where I judged, showed and exhibited making up two Dutch and one Belgium champion and gaining experience plus knowledge. I joined two overseas Dalmatian clubs.

I have bred10 Dalmatian litters containing 5 champions one of which was Hollycombe Polaire who won BOB at Crufts. Since joining Olbero I have campaigned 5 Dalmatians to championship status.

I have attended 7 seminars on Dalmatians and passed the Judging exams set by the Kennel Club and the British Dalmatian Club. I am on the British Dalmatian Club and the North of England Dalmatians Club A 1 lists and hold the necessary qualifications from them and the Kennel Club to award Challenge Certificates at Championship shows. I do not judge other breeds. I have judged 21 Shows with 136 classes of Dalmatians and 436 Dalmatians judged. Two of these shows have been Dalmatian Breed Club Shows here in the UK, two have been Dalmatian Club CAC shows overseas and one CAC show in Ribe, Denmark this year, plus Driffield Championship Show here in the UK last year with an entry of 106 Dalmatians. In the future I have been asked to judge Dalmatians here in the UK in 2009 at LKA Championship Show subject to Kennel Club confirmation.

The highlight of my career has to be when I made Gloria (Ch. One in a Million at Olbero) up to her title. She is line bred on her sires side to some famous Olbero champions and also carries genes from her grandmother Ch Weaponness Firebird who descends from my first show dog Ch Weaponnes Statesman of Pentwyn grandsire of Ch Hollycombe Polaire. Presently we live with seven Dalmatians at home, 3 of them are champions and our newest editions a young dog and bitch we enjoy showing and both are winning at championship level.
